Product Description
Dazzling Dave hand made collector/fixed axle player series yo-yos. The "Player Edition" is a 1-piece maple yo-yo designed with playability in mind. A tight axle groove provides very snappy response and good looping/regneration possibilities. The "Collector Edition" can still play great, but the overall look and feel of exotic woods, and craftmanship are stressed with this model.
Each one is uniquely created with different woods and shapes and characteristics. Since these are handmade everyone is slightly diffferent. If you are interested in seeing the actual photos of the stock currently on hand,
I occasionally make these after the order has been placed. If that is something you are interested in, I can even slightly make it to your requested specifications, or wood choices.
If you would like a specific custom engraving or special logo on the back, that can usually be arranged for an extra $10.
To pay homage to the old time yo-yo demonstrators who would carve on the back of a yo-yo, and even put your name or initials on it, I am attempting to bring that tradition back with a laser engraver.
I have 3 options for you to choose from and I can add your name or intials using the "Flame Font" that Dale Oliver recreated for a group at the World yo-yo contest carving workshop in 2010.
1. "Rocket Scene" by Mark Hayward.
2. "Sunset boat Scene" by Frank Young.
3. "Beach Scene" by Dale Oliver.
If you want something custom or special, please contact me to work out the details.
These classic wooden yo-yos do not unscrew, and each one plays differently. You can email me before your order if you would like to see what is currently in stock. Hand production is difficult to make every yo-yo the same, so they are all different. Some are "standard-ish" some are very unique. You can request different aspects, weights, etc.
