Scout Library Fair Corporate Church Camp Birthday

Scout Banquets

My Scout entertainment is as much for the adults as it is for the kids. The show gets everyone excited about learning a new skill. It is great to see parents and kids working together to learn how to yo-yo. I perform at Blue and Gold banquets, and other scout meetings throughout the year. Booking my show at the beginning of the scouting season is a fun way to kick-off the year and to help recruit new scouts.

The Cub Scout belt loop and pin yo-yo adventure! I come to your den meeting in the immediate weeks following my entertainment show, to help your scouts earn the belt loop and pin. The adventure requires a science lesson, followed up with a workshop on learning basic tricks. Fullfills requirements for Wolf, Bear, WEBELOS, and Arrow of Light scouts. I usually ask the den leaders to cover the science component prior to the workshop, so we can concentrate on the yo-yo skills. My show fee $300. This is a reduced rate of for the Scouts because of their amazing referral network, and my connection to scouts as a former leader. The den lessons and workshop is an additional $110 when immediately following the show. (Must have booked my show prior to den workshop.) $150 + travel if we do it on a future date. I also have yo-yos available for purchase following my show. Depending on your location, there may be a travel fee. Contact me to find out more.

Library Programs

My library show is best suited for school-age children, but younger kids enjoy it as well. It also attracts the hard to entertain pre-teen! The show is 30-45 minutes long. It is based on the growth mindset of perseverance paying off and learning a new skill while having fun. I weave throughout the show the benefits of reading for information and entertainment.

I have been entertaining at libraries for over 20 years, and I am very familiar with how their programs work. I offer an optional workshop to take the show one step further into learning "how to" yo-yo.

Fairs & Festivals

I have performed at many county fair and community festivals throughout the Midwest. My show is family friendly, and tons of fun for the audience. I am flexible on my performance type, and I can tailor the structure of the entertainment to fit your venue. My standard "fair day" is 4-5 hours. The day consists of strolling entertainment followed by stage shows.

Strolling Entertainment: This is a perfect option for Kid's Day and Senior's Day as it maximizes your entertainment dollar. I stroll about the fair or festival grounds for one hour prior to my stage show, finding groups of people waiting in lines for rides, food, etc. I inform the fair guests about my upcoming stage shows and give them a few minutes of yo-yo entertainment.

Stage Show: My stage show is 30-45 minutes long and is great for the whole family. The show includes freestyle performances to music, and volunteer participation. I can have yo-yos available for people to learn "how to" yo-yo following my show.

My fee is $875 for a single day. I provide a multiple-day discount that varies depending on the number of days requested. Depending on your location, there may also be a travel fee and hotel costs if necessary. Contact me to find out more.

Corporate Events

I work with my corporate clients in the following ways; entertainment, team building, or trade show attraction.

Entertainment: If you need an entertainer with all eyes on stage, I provide a great 30-45 minute stage show. If your gathering is more informal, I do strolling entertainment for small groups mingling throughout the event.

Team Building: This is a short, fun show, followed up with teaching "how to" yo-yo. It is a great stress reliever, as well as a way to build team work and connections in the workplace. A company wide yo-yo contest is always a fun way to end the day.

Trade Show Attraction: There is no better way to gather a crowd around your company's booth than to have live entertainment. My show is high-energy and perfect for that venue; everyone stops to see the yo-yo guy! At your booth, I can provide information about your product or turn them over to a company representative.

SWAG: Yo-Yos are a sure-fire promotional item that will never be thrown away, and can have your logo in the hands of your customers for years to come. I can customize my high quality yo-yos for an extra fee.

Church Events

I often present my church show for Sunday School children while their parents are at their service. The children get entertainment, and a basic 5-10 minute Christian message at the end of the show. It is a wonderful way to connect Christianity to a classic American toy. I Illustrate this by using metaphors to talk about how we are connected to God through Jesus. This show can be tailored to any length to work with your schedule.

Camp Activity

I work with day camps, as well as week-long camps. A stage show is performed for the entire camp and then we break into 45 minute workshops of about 20-25 students. We can get in-depth, giving the campers a chance to learn a lot about yo-yos and develop a new skill, or just cover the basics. Our only limitation is time, and number of campers. I bring along a class set of yo-yos for the campers to use, or we can have a fee for the workshop, so the campers will be able to keep their yo-yo. Birthday Parties

My birthday party entertainment is for all ages. I have entertained at parties where the guest of honor was any age from 5 years old to 75 years old! It is a great way to bring family and friends together and do something that is both fun and challenging. My birthday party entertainment is about one hour to one and one half hour long. Half of your time is spent watching my entertaining show, and the other half I work with your guests on "how to" yo-yo.
